Position Overview:
The Project Manager
provides project related management for multiple large utility
construction projects with an emphasis on power transmission and
distribution projects throughout the US, Canada and Mexico.

This position is accountable for all aspects of a project's success
from the initial bidding process, to meeting or exceeding the
clients expectations and on through the profitable completion of the
job.
? Additionally, this position provides direct support to
other functional project teams in the planning and execution of the
job including resolving issues, managing resources, project
coordination, interfacing with client representatives regarding the
projects progress, oversight of project accounting, training,
mentoring and coaching.
? This position is part of the company¡¯s
Project Management Office and is considered strategic within the
organization.
? This position will report into the company's
headquarters in Blue Bell, PA., with long and short term assignments
determined by specified projects and the location of those projects.
? Significant travel will be required as well as the ability to
commit to long term on site assignments.
? Project Management
Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
? Advanced knowledge
and experience in construction industry Project Management
Methodology required.
? Strong interpersonal and leadership
skills required.
? Experience / knowledge of construction
operations, power transmission / distribution design, financial
acumen and team based management required.
? Able to work with
minimum supervision.
? Thorough understanding of utility industry
practices, operations, contract administration, contract management,
and standards, with emphasis on power utility business
required.
? Proficient understanding of CPM scheduling and
software applications (Primavera, MS Project) is required.

Manages overall project performance (scope, safety, quality,
schedule, innovation, cost, and customer satisfaction).
? Serves
as single-point of contact, establishing, maintaining and managing
customer, sub contractor and joint venture partner expectations
(where applicable) regarding overall project performance.

Reports project status and performance data as required to
management and stakeholders.
? Ensures compliance with
established Project Management Methodology (PMM).
? Plans,
monitors, and controls the project throughout its lifecycle.

a given time could be involved in any combination of:

Summary
This position requires
the preparation of contract proposal estimates for a variety of
complex projects. The position will also involve the review
proposals, specifications and drawings to determine scope of work
and required contents to estimate, in addition to determining the
suitability of the project and the availability of resources to bid
the project and continually monitors the work through completion.
Job Responsibilities:
? Must have heavy civil estimating of
bridges.
? Perform preliminary review of RFP?s and help determine
suitability of project to meet company goals, and assess how project
fits in overall schedule.
? Develop preliminary estimate plan
and assess ability to meet RFP dates.
? Identify scope of work
and perform quantity takeoff from RFQ information for multiple
disciplines.
? Review available plans and specifications to make
sure estimate effort is in compliance.
? Perform conceptual
estimates at times when detailed design information is not yet
available. Ability to develop complete estimates from P&ID?s and
conceptual GA?s, and ability to develop estimates from bulk
quantities only, is necessary.
? Solicit pricing from material
vendors and subcontractors.
? Develop overall estimate plan on
larger projects and coordinate the estimating team, as necessary to
roll-up all information into the final estimate.
Qualifications
/ Requirements:
? This position requires strong computer skills,
including estimating software (HCSS) and MS Office.
? Experience
with scheduling on Primavera.
? Strong conceptual estimating
skills.

PURPOSE OF THE
POSITION/GENERAL PURPOSE
Describe the core purpose of this

The primary function of this role is to provide
technical support to global customers and distributors addressing
field equipment issues, equipment start-up, commissioning,
maintenance, overhauls, repairs, and failure analysis. The position
requires periodic travel to equipment installations, execution of
warranty policy, providing feedback to Engineering on equipment
problems, and providing technical training to customers and
distributors.
? Provide technical support for the
resolution of equipment problems pertaining to start-up, operation,
maintenance, repairs, or rebuilds on company equipment, packages,
and related systems. Able to investigate and resolve complex
problems. Execute service engineering assignments requiring the
application of engineering theory, standard techniques, procedures,
computer programs, and criteria.
? Makes personal visitations
to customers and equipment installations to obtain first-hand
information when troubles exist. Responsible for investigating,
developing, presenting, resolving, and implementing corrective
steps
? Operate vibrating diagnostic equipment for purpose of
analyzing and documenting field vibration problems, consulting with
others to develop corrective action and issuing reports.
?
Collaborate with other engineering groups in development of new
products and improvement of existing products from a service
standpoint. Submits ideas for improved reliability, cost, service,
and sale.
? Issues reports pertaining to compressor
inspections, failure analysis, field performance data, operating
data from control panel, or customer DCS. Issues Service Engineering
Bulletins pertaining to repetitive field problems.
?
Develops and presents training programs. Programs may be for
customers or distributors and may be held at customer
locations.
